In various forms, we’ve spent over a century helping reach new and valuable markets all over the world, and we’re proud to do this through JP Exports Ltd (a sister company to Fresh Direct). We’re pleased to have a role in supplying some of the most demanding chefs, kitchens and supermarket buyers around the world with fresh, top quality New Zealand produce.
The Turner family’s interest and involvement in exports goes back as far as 1912 when Jeffery & Peter’s great-grandfather Edward Turner and their grandfather Harvey Turner started exporting NZ apples to England and South America. JP Exports is named in honour of Jeffery & Peter’s father Jack – John Penman (JP) Turner, the man who named kiwifruit in 1959.
Originally the family business played a key role in pioneering exports of key New Zealand produce including cherries and other stonefruit. Today, we work with some of the best growers in New Zealand to deliver a truly ‘out of this world’ fresh produce experience for international customers.

JP Exports
Where are you based?
Our main office is located in Auckland and our General Manager is based in Brisbane. We also have an office in Christchurch with key staff also located in production regions.
What products do you export?
We export most New Zealand produce lines with particular focus on cherries, persimmons, strawberries, lemons, kiwifruit to Australia and onions.
When are the produce seasons?
Seasons vary for all produce, and we are happy to provide full information on the produce lines you are interested in.
Can we access product from Australia?
Absolutely!
Do you export organic products?
Yes we do – mainly to non phyto markets as quarantine rules restrict access to phtyo markets.

Lesley is based in Brisbane. She began exporting Australian product to Peter and Jeff Turner over 30 years ago and was still exporting to them in 1999 when she moved to Asia. She became General Manager of JP Exports in 2009 and is dedicated to ensuring that both the Growers and the Customers of JP Exports Ltd receive the best service possible.
